Import Duty Exemption Certificate
The Import duty exemption certificate (IDEC) is a Fiscal incentive by the Federal Government under the Ministry of Finance to to stimulate key sectors of the economy.
This incentive exempts eligible stakeholders from paying import duties and other statutory customs charges.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved tax and duty waivers for clean energy equipment and vehicles.
The President has approved Value Added Tax (VAT) and Customs Duty waivers for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) equipment, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) equipment, Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) equipment, Clean cooking equipment, Electric vehicles and associated equipment.

Visit the IDEC website at www.idec.gov.ng
Create an account on the IDEC portal using your TIN NUMBER and confirm the email.
Log in to the IDEC website using your newly created account.
Navigate to the "Support Documents" tab on the left pane of the screen.
Click on "Apply" to initiate the application process
Select the relevant MDA from the dropdown to upload the required documents.
Choose "Office of The Special Adviser to the President on Energy" from the dropdown and click on "Proceed."
Upload the necessary documents as per the application requirements.
Fill in the project information as prompted and click on "Apply."
Preview the information entered before final submission.
Submit your application!
