It was a pleasure to join a #CERAWeek roundtable discussion themed “Energizing Energy Investments for the Global South,” moderated by Daniel Berkove, the Regional Head for Africa and the Levant. I took the opportunity to emphasize several key energy priorities for Nigeria and Africa.
By implementing data-driven and targeted policies across the oil, gas, and power sectors, Nigeria is fostering an environment that attracts capital.
But our policies are not solely focused on attracting investment — they are also aimed at ensuring that the average Nigerian has reliable access to affordable energy.
By making energy both accessible and affordable, we aim to improve quality of life and support sustainable economic growth. This holistic approach underscores our commitment to addressing the energy needs of our population while fostering a robust and resilient energy sector.
